I have a new buddy named Cruiser. Think I told you about him, rrr. He’s Boomer’s little brother. Looks a lot like him too. You would think he’s related to me Grr! Why, his grandpa on his mom’s side looks just like my mom’s brother! Cruz and his big brother Boomer came from Surprise! AZ. It’s real hot there. Grr. We took a long ride there one time to meet the family! So here’s my story about how I met Cruz. I wrote it with my paw in the hotel the night before I met him and here’s what I wrote:
“First, we stop in El Centro so I can go Pee, sniff bushes, car tires, look for TRASH on the ground! Grr, it’s so much fun! It’s about time too! I need lots of room. Masters Joe and Theresa are in the front of the car, and I’m in the back with Master Reese. After 20 minutes, this gets uncomfortable. So imagine the agony after two hours of this!
“Masters Joe Theresa and Reese go into In-N-Out or some other delicious crappiness like Del Taco and I get a TREAT! Yummy yummy yay! Look, I’m hungry, OK? I’m always hungry and in times like this there’s no shame in being a DOG. Everyone pets me and says things like “Grande!” and confuse me with a labradoodle. Whatever that is, grr.
“Three more hours in the car! I’m not good with crowds in confined locations, grr. Master Reese wants me to scoot over and I wish he would sit on Master Joe’s lap so I could have the back seat to myself. Then we stop in Yuma, which now means there are cacti coming up from the ground. Grr. Have to really watch where I walk. But more trashy goodness and pee stops and yummy smells. I’m not the only dog there, no sirrrrree.
“YET ANOTHER TWO MORE HOURS! Grr. At last, though! Now we’re FINALLY in Phoenix, and a dog friendly hotel. We hang out here for the night, grr, and I lay in an air-conditioned room with the whole floor to myself! Tired now.Meeting Boomer’s little brother tomorrow.
